Alright, a moment of transparency here. Your girl is going through it. She has hit multiple emotional rough patches, that have caused some damage to my self-esteem. But as the warrior princess that she is…She refuses to stay down. Also, because we cannot glow on a low vibration, right?

Right.

To spread light, we have to be the light that’s within us, just waiting for us to allow us to just fucking shine without anyone’s permission or validation. So, if you’re struggling with your confidence or esteem. Don’t worry, you are not alone. Let’s get to the steps that we’re going to take to regain our confidence.

1. Mindset Shift

Start by mentally preparing for the glow-up. Remind yourself daily that you are worthy of love, success, and happiness. Practice positive affirmations every morning, like:

  • “I am worthy of everything I desire.”
  • “I trust in my journey and in myself.”
  • “My confidence is my superpower.”

You can use meditation apps in case you need a little extra help to speak life into yourself.

2. Self-Care Rituals

Reaffirm your value every day with self-care routines:

  • Take care of your skin, get into a good skincare routine, and make it feel luxurious (think face masks, moisturizing, etc.).
  • Take time for a solid self-care night: At least once a week. Block your night to get into some journaling, meditating or -my personal favorite- dancing in the mirror. Whatever makes you feel loved by yourself.

3. Nourish Your Body

Make sure you’re fueling your body right. You know the saying: your body is a temple? We owe it to ourselves to treat it as such. Eat meals you thoroughly enjoy, but also focusing on things that make you feel strong, energized, and healthy. And don’t…For the love of God, don’t skip meals. Keep eating foods that give you energy and support that glowing skin. And let’s not forget: stay hydrated, babes. As much as I love me a good drink, our body cannot function sans H2O.

4. Glow-Up Wardrobe

Think about pieces that make you feel powerful. If you need inspiration, get on Pinterest and look up your favorite artists that embody the confidence you aspire to have. Put together looks that represents your inner confidence. You’re dressing for the version of yourself you want to be, not for anyone else’s approval.

5. Confidence Boosters

Whenever you feel your confidence slipping:

  • Look at your progress: celebrate the small wins, even the ones that might seem insignificant.
  • Listen to empowering music: music that will remind you of who you are.
  • Start surrounding yourself with empowering people who see your greatness.
Allow me to use this moment to brag with one of my favorite persons who support me and celebrate my greatness, even if it’s just a minor thing. Say hi to my Omi.

6. Social Media Breaks

I’ve decided to have a little IG detoxing session for now. For me that means posting every now and then (because how else am I supposed to get my content out there?) but not doomscrolling.

By taking some time away from social media you can use that time to fully focus on yourself without any external comparisons. It’s about reconnecting with yourself and making your space one of growth.

Surround yourself with things that inspire and empower you. Whether that’s uplifting music, motivational content, or the right people; ensure your environment supports your glow-up.

We’re setting the stage for a new, confident you. Every step counts, and I know we’re going to shine like never before. We got this!
