Earlier I put out this post on my Instagram. I wrote it because I was feeling like I wasn’t making any progress, despite the fact that I was doing a shit ton behind the scenes to work on my growth. But, you know how social media can make you feel like your not doing enough. Or nothing at all. I had to remind myself: not all progress can be seen.
Recognize this: putting in work every day and not having anything physically or grand to show for it? I feel you, love. But we need to remember that every bit of small progress is still progress and deserves to be celebrated! Allow me to give you 3 reasons why you deserve to celebrate even the smallest progress.
Boosts Motivation and Confidence
Acknowledging and celebrating small achievements provides a sense of accomplishment. This positive reinforcement can boost your motivation to keep you working towards your goals. When you see that you are making progress, no matter how small, it builds your confidence and belief in your abilities, which makes you more likely to persevere.
Celebrations Are Like Milestones
Progress, no matter how incremental, keeps you moving forward. Celebrating small wins helps you sustain the progress in your efforts. Without these celebrations, it’s easy to become discouraged and lose sight of your ultimate goal. Celebrations act as milestones, marking your journey, reminding you of your achievements along the way and how far you’ve already come.
Reduces Stress and Anxiety
Working towards long-term goals can be stressful, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
Especially when you have no one applauding you for all the work you’ve been putting in.
Celebrating small progress offers a break from the constant focus on the end goal. Celebrations can reduce stress and anxiety, allowing you to enjoy the journey and stay mentally and emotionally balanced as you work towards your objectives.

All by all, celebrating small progress is a powerful way to stay motivated, sustain the progress, and reduce stress on your journey to achieving your goals. It reminds you (us) that success is a journey, not just a destination.
