Recently I posted a thread where I mentioned that I’m proud of of everyone who’s taken even the smallest step forward. A high-school friend of mine sent me a DM that warmed my heart and soul. She thanked me for being proud of her and shared how proud she is of me too and so much more kind words that literally brought tears to my eyes. That moment inspired this post.
Read more: Reasons To Be Proud Of YourselfIn this time and age we are so caught up with chasing big goals. Earning six-figure salaries, buying luxury cars, landing high-powered promotions. And don’t get me wrong, I am here for all those wins! If you’ve hit those milestones, I know you probably worked your ass off for them, and you should absolutely be proud.
But I want to remind you of something important, the so-called “small” wins deserve just as much love. I sure as hell am proud of you! Who even decides what counts as a small accomplishment, anyway? It’s all subjective. What feels like a tiny step to someone else might be a giant leap for you. And here, we’re celebrating all wins.
Here are a few things you should definitely be proud of:
1. Folding That Never-Ending Pile of Laundry
You know the one. The laundry’s done, but instead of folding it, it ends up on that chair. You know, that one chair with freshly washed laundry that you were gonna get to in a minute but has now become a second closet for all your garments just waiting to be folded. Days pass. Maybe even a week. You’re pulling clothes from the pile, praying it doesn’t tumble over.

Then finally—finally—you muster the energy to fold it all and reclaim the chair. The chair is empty again. Well done! It might’ve taken a minute, but important is that you got it done.
2. Getting 10 Likes on Your Post
Congratulations! That’s 10 people saying they like what you shared. Sure, it might not seem like much compared to influencers getting thousands of likes, but let me share this quote for some perspective:
It’s crazy how social media has convinced us that 10 likes is not enough. Imagine 10 people in real life telling you a compliment—you’d be thrilled.
Let’s be honest here. We’re already thrilled when one person compliments us in real life.
Social media has warped our sense of what’s “enough.” If you’re someone who really doesn’t care about likes, you might think who cares? But if you’re a creative or entrepreneur using these platforms to grow, even a handful of likes means you’re making an impact. You put yourself out there, and that’s huge. Keep going, stay consistent and know I am proud of you!
3. Saying No to a Party to Prioritize Rest
Excuse me?
You said no?
You set a boundary?
You prioritized your rest, even if it meant risking someone’s disapproval?

How does that feel? I hope you’re proud, especially if you’re someone with an anxious attachment style who usually puts others before yourself. This is huge. Even if no one else realizes how much courage it took, I do—I see you.
4. Losing Your First 3 Kilos
You’ve been working on your health goals, and now you’ve hit your first milestone. Whether it’s weight loss, building strength, or improving your endurance, your effort is paying off. Did it take you a bit longer than others? No worries. What counts is that you started, stayed consistent, and hit that first marker.
You. Did. That. Be proud of the steps you’ve taken—they’re leading you to something bigger.
Like I said: every step forward, no matter how small it seems, deserves to be celebrated. Life isn’t just about the big wins—it’s about the little moments that get us there. So keep going, keep growing, and remember: I’m rooting for you.

By the way, would you like me to turn this into a series where I highlight more “small wins” to celebrate? Let me know in the comments or slide into my DMs—
I’d love to hear from you!
