This goes out to everyone who’s putting in the work, but doesn’t get the same recognition as those in the limelight.
You are still seen. You are a part of something bigger. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed. Don’t let modern society’s standard of what success “supposed to look like” diminish all the blood, sweat and tears you put in. Your time and effort matters. No one’s work is more important the other.
Individualism has allowed us to believe that life on Earth isn’t a group project, but it is.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
― African Proverb
All the big ones in the spotlight, would’ve never made it as far as they did without the help or support of others. We all have our own roles to fulfil, but they’re all connected to one another.
Don’t get me started on social media that led us to believe that having a great followers equals having a great impact. Because I can mention a bunch of people who have a huge following…But not for the better. Don’t let the numbers fuck with your head.
That one poem you wrote, that was read by only 5 people…Touched them.
That coffee you’re sick and tired of pouring for customers…Energized them.
That little note you left for your colleague, to remind them to keep going…Motivated them.
That little heart you sent your loved one in the morning…Made them feel loved.

I was asked once why I still write, even though I barely have any readers and the reason I still write is because if I can simply touch one person in a positive way with my writing is all I truly want…
Please, keep doing the effort. You are seen. I see you. The Universe, God or whatever you wish to call it…Sees you.
