Guys, we did it! We actually did it! I kept showing up for myself by consistently writing and posting. And guess what? We grew by 214%.

Yes, I am saying we, because I couldn’t have done it without you. To everyone who’s been reading, sharing my posts, commenting, DMing me, or simply lurking and soaking it all in: Thank you. Your support, and your energy motivated me to keep going, and to stay consistent.

So, Why is Consistency Really the Key?

I’ve been very transparent about the fact that I haven’t been the most consistent when it has come to blogging. Many reasons — work, social life, unexpected occurrences, mental health…But the biggest reason, was fear. But throughout May we said we’re gonna work through our fears to get where we truly want to be. And so I made a commitment to treat this blog like the priority it deserves to be.

And here’s why I believe consistency is key:

  • Momentum creates motivation: I know you shouldn’t rely on exterior factors to get motivated. But honestly, the more I showed up and got such positive feedback from you guys, the more excited I got to create. It stopped feeling like a chore and started feeling like I got to have one-on-one talk with you, in the form of a blogpost.

  • Growth isn’t instant, it’s layered: Every blog post is a brick. Every blog post has been a brick in the path I’m building toward my dreams. Every share, every comment that’s been the steady ground beneath my feet, reminding me to keep walking.
  • Consistency builds trust: Not just with clients, followers or – in my case – readers, but with yourself. I noticed that the more I posted, the more confident I became in my voice.

How I Stayed Consistent (Even When I Didn’t Feel Like It)

I made a realistic posting rhythm.
As a creative, it’s easy to fall into the trap of watching what everyone else is doing: daily posts, nonstop content, constant engagement, going viral. But what works for them might burn you out. I had to get real with myself. What can I actually commit to? When do I really have energy? That’s what I based my rhythm on.

Sure, I looked at others for inspiration, but I stopped trying to work by someone else’s pace and started honoring my own. I didn’t try to blog every day or even every other day. I chose a rhythm that fit my energy and I stuck to it. Quality over quantity, always.

I worked with my energy, not against it.
I know I’m most focused in the mornings, so that’s when I write. Like on my way during my walk, or while I’m getting hit by that touch of inspiration during my morning routine. I try not to force myself to grind when I’m drained and try to plan around my natural flow.

I prepped content in advance.
As I’m starting to become more aware of my energy levels – which involves my cycle as well – I’ve come to realize that I need to have content before my lutheal phase. So, the first two weeks of my cycle when the creativity was flowing? I would go all out. I drafted multiple posts and scheduled them so when Aunt Flo is in town, I can rest when needed without losing my consistency.

I reminded myself of why I started.
When doubt crept in, I reconnected with my why. This blog is bigger than me. Dare I say it: It’s part of my purpose. And who am I to against what the Universe set out for me?

I let it be imperfect.
Did you guys know that I am a Virgo Sun and a Mars in Gemini? Both ruled by Mercury: the planet of communication. So trust me when I say, I had to let go of the idea that every post had to be a masterpiece. I preferred authenticity over perfection. I allowed some of my posts to be messy, flawed but always evolving — and that made it even more powerful.

So here’s your reminder: You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to keep showing up.

June, we coming with that same energy. Let’s fucking get it.
